What to Expect
Joy of Faith is an exciting, vibrant, and dynamic place to meet new people,
learn about God, and worship with other Christians.
What is the overall environment like?
Our Sunday services are specifically designed to be a place where all people can have an exciting dynamic encounter in the presence of God. Our worship is driven by passionate celebration and supported by a strong media presence. The teaching and preaching of God’s word are challenging and relevant, designed to bring you to the place where you make a positive change in your life.
Our "Wednesday Night Live" services are similarly exciting, but in a more line-by-line, topical study format. Pastor Cook may spend weeks unpacking a particular book like Proverbs or 1 John, or he may expond on a topic like "The Believers's Life of Faith."
Will I be bored?
Not a chance. We strategically plan our services to engage your heart, educate your mind, and enlighten your spirit. We use music, video, powerful teaching and other experiential elements to help you connect to God in a meaningful way.
How long is the service?
Our services are approximately 75 minutes. We usually have about 15-20 minutes of music and videos, and then approximately 40-55 minutes of teaching, announcements and prayer.
What should I wear?
You can wear jeans or a suit, shorts or a dress, whatever you're comfortable wearing. We are much more concerned about what’s going on inside of a person, than what's being worn on the outside. If it helps you out, Pastor Cook is usually wearing jeans. Come as you are is an appropriate guide.
What's the music like?
We have a live band of talented singers and musicians that do an amazing job leading our Church in worship. We sing songs that are deep in meaning, but easy to understand, so that worship can flow naturally from our hearts.
What about my kids?
We offer dynamic KidzChurch services for children six months through eighth grade. The age-appropriate lessons and experienced teachers will help your children learn about God in a relevant way, as well as offer fun experiences that will help the word of God come alive in their hearts.
Our ushers and greeters will be happy to help you find your way to the appropriate digital check-in station. Your child's safety, spiritual education and enjoyment come first, so you can relax and enjoy the service.
Will I be asked to give money?
You will not be asked to give, but there will be an opportunity to give if you would like. Just come and experience a service at Joy of Faith. If you like it and want to call it your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and His church is the right thing to do as part of the family.
Where do I park?
We have plenty of parking spots for everyone in the front and back of the Church, but our first-time guests have reserved spots near the main entrance. Look for the white first time guest parking flags. Parking lot attendents will be available to help you find the closest parking spot.
What will I leave with?
You will leave with a heart full of joy, and information and encouragement to make a positive change in your life. Also you will receive a gift to show our appreciation and thanks for being our guest. We want you to make Joy of Faith your church home on the way to your heavenly home.
Arrive early to browse the multitude of sermon series and messages by Robert and Hellen Cook in our Faith Food Shop bookstore. You will not leave the same way you came. You'll leave with a word from God to change your life.
